Are you a Republican Party precinct delegate in Jackson, Michigan? You don't want to miss this opportunity to be a part of the Precinct Delegates Super Saturday Forum, where attendees will have the chance to hear directly from individuals seeking the Attorney General and Secretary of State nominations for the midterm ballot. The forum provides delegates with information, context, and insight that can help them make informed decisions during the county convention and subsequent stages of the nomination process. Not a Jackson County Precinct Delegate? No Problem you are also invited. This event is on January 17th at 11 A.M. In the JXNGOP Headquarters located on the 3rd floor of the Commonwealth Commerce Center STE. 320. Doors will open at 10 A.M. for coffee and doughnuts. Proof Of Citizenship Ballot Initiative
A statewide ballot initiative campaign is underway in Michigan to require voters to show proof of citizenship when registering to vote and when casting a ballot.
Here's what you need to know:
Currently: Michigan law allows voters to register and vote without providing documented proof of citizenship.
The Proposed Change: This initiative seeks to amend the Michigan Constitution to mandate proof of citizenship for voter registration and eliminate the current affidavit option for voters without a photo ID.
Organizers have received approval to begin collecting signatures to get the initiative on the 2026 ballot. They need approximately 450,000 signatures from registered voters. To sign the initiative please visit us in the JXNGOP office during regular business hours, located at 209 E. Washington Ave. Jackson, MI. Ste. 320.
