This district—a competitive battleground spanning Jackson and northern Washtenaw counties, including parts of Ann Arbor—IS WINNABLE. In 2022, Democrat Sue Shink took the seat with just an ~11.8% margin . That margin, while notable, is not secure. With the right push, we can bring it back into the RED column.

Proof Of Citizenship Ballot Initiative
A statewide ballot initiative campaign is underway in Michigan to require voters to show proof of citizenship when registering to vote and when casting a ballot.
Here's what you need to know:
Currently: Michigan law allows voters to register and vote without providing documented proof of citizenship.
The Proposed Change: This initiative seeks to amend the Michigan Constitution to mandate proof of citizenship for voter registration and eliminate the current affidavit option for voters without a photo ID.
Organizers have received approval to begin collecting signatures to get the initiative on the 2026 ballot. They need approximately 450,000 signatures from registered voters. To sign the initiative please visit us in the JXNGOP office during regular business hours, located at 209 E. Washington Ave. Jackson, MI. Ste. 320.
